The Word of God teaches that all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are members of His body (I Corinthians 12:27). Zion Christian Assembly welcomes visitors and receives into fellowship all Christians who are living in holy fellowship with Christ, and who are sound in the doctrine of Christ. Christians cannot be received into assembly fellowship who are under the discipline of another assembly or church. Reception into the assembly and at the Lord's Table is based upon personal testimony, an assembly or church letter, the testimony of other Christians, and/or counsel with the elders.

Christians are those persons who have come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through repentance and faith. They have been converted, believing that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on Calvary for their sins. They are children of God, having been born again and indwelt by the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures teach that baptism should follow conversion (Matthew 28:19, Acts 2:38).

Assembly fellowship is entered into through communion (the Lord's Supper or the Breaking of Bread). Reception into assembly fellowship at the Lord's Table on a permanent basis requires counsel with the elders. Reception is based upon personal testimony of faith in Jesus Christ, having been baptized as a believer, and a desire to live for Christ. Children are received at the Lord's Table upon their confession of faith, evidence of Christ in their lives, and having been baptized. Children must be recommended by their parents and be counseled by the elders before participating at the Lord's Table.
